Our Big Boy
It is amazing how time flies. It is hard to believe that my first born is already 3 years old! He has had many new adjustments lately; a new classroom (they moved him up because he is "so smart"), his "bibble" (pacifier) broke- but he got a new fire truck in its place and he moved from his crib to a big boy bed. He is a lot of fun to be with and we are very lucky to call him ours.
A Happy Baby
Ella is a happy baby for the most part! She does have a little separation anxiety when I am not in the room, or gets a little overwhelmed with a lot of people- and when she cries, she CRIES!!! It makes your heart race fast! But here she is happy as a clam in her exersaucer and playpen.
Photo Catch Up- Valentine's Day
I need to play a little catch up with my photos...
Here are a few from Valentine's Day! Derek had a great time passing his out at school, and bringing home a bag full of goodies! Ella had no idea what was going on- but she had fun none the less! ;)

Rice Cereal
Despite the smile you may see on Ella's face, she HATES rice cereal! I mean, despises it!!! The only way she'll now eat it is if we add smashed bananas to it! And she is the SLOWEST eater! She couldn't be more different than her brother, who loved food from the start!
Baby "C"- Newborn Session
These are a few of my favorite pictures from my most recent newborn shoot. Baby "C" was such a handsome boy!
My New Blog!
So I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and keep a blog. Mainly it will be used to share pictures and stories of my kids and family, but I will also include my favorite pictures from client sessions. If you have not visited my photography website, you are welcome to at www.jennhoffmannphotography.com .
I have always enjoyed taking pictures of people- but this hobby blossomed in to something more once I had Derek! Suddenly, I wanted to capture every moment on camera and learned that these precious memories only last a fleeting moment- as these "little people" change so quickly! I carry my camera wherever I go, and now that I have two children- my photo library is quite extensive! Especially now that I also take portraits of people outside of my family! I love to capture that tender moment between mother and child, or that devilish smirk of a three year old.
Our latest adventure was a family trip up to Tahoe for 5 days. It was the first time Derek (and Ella) saw snow! There was so much on the ground- probably 8-10 feet in some places, plus it snowed the Sunday we were there! Derek could have stayed outside all day and played. He loved sledding (and tubing!), building a snowman, skiing (yes, we got him on skis!) and digging in the snow- but his all time highlight of the trip was having a snow ball fight!
