For the last year or two, I have been looking for a program in which I can give back to the community. As soon as I found The Gold Hope Project I knew I found what I have been looking for! I applied, have been waiting to hear back and just got the GREAT news that I have been accepted as one of their photographers!

Their MISSION:
"More precious than the gold that represents them, children are our future.

There are twelve major types of childhood cancers. From there, they are broken down into three groups.

Leukemias (cancer of the blood)
Lymphomas (cancer of the immune system)
Solid tumors (cancer in bones, organs, or tissue)

The Gold Hope Project is a group of photographers that have come together to capture the moments that these families holds so dear to their heart. Some of us have been touched by the presence of cancer, and some have not, but we have all been given a gift that we would like to share."

A different kind of newborn.... baby birds! These little guys are just 5 days old and are beginning to open their eyes. There are 4 of them in a little nest in one of our hanging planters on our porch. I have no idea what kind of birds they are; the eggs were light blue with spots and Mama is small with a slightly red belly. They are so ugly they're cute!

One of the best milestones to document is the "sitting up" stage (where they are sitting but not crawling yet)!  This sweet little one was all smiles and is absolutely gorgeous!  Mama had a TON of cute little coordinating outfits!

The Daffodil Mini Sessions are always a big hit!  The field is beautiful and is the perfect setting for the little ones to run around and be photographed in!  Little Sis didn't want much to do with the camera, but we nailed the sibling shot!

Snips and snails and puppy dog tails....  that's what little boys are made of!  And these mini sessions are made specifically for those little boys!  There will be a tent, jars of "fireflies", lanterns, minnow buckets and much more!
