A Little "Sass"- Sneak Peek

I love when (almost) 2 year olds have a little "sass" and Little "H" certainly does!!!  She wasn't too sure of me and my camera at first, but I won her over with balloons!  She was such a trooper- all smiles, even when we were just yards away from a playground that she couldn't convince her Mom to take her to just yet.  We had a great session and got a lot of great captures!

Kodak Moment of the Month Finalist!

A month or two ago, I entered one of my favorite pictures of Ella in to a Baby Photo Contest held by Kodak. Today I received an email announcing the top 25 finalists (out of over 15,00 entries!) and my picture was chosen!!!  Go to Kodak Gallery to view the finalist slideshow!  Do you see Ella?  She is number 10!

Almost 9 months!

Today is last day that Ella will be 8 months; tomorrow she turns 9 months old!  Where has the time gone?

Butterflies!

One of the requirements to being a boy is that you must like bugs.  Well, Derek definitely does.  He received a "butterfly pavilion" for Christmas and we received the baby caterpillars a few weeks ago in the mail!  We watched them as they transformed through their life cycle and we released the butterflies out in the back yard to live out the remaining days of their life!  Derek LOVED holding them on his hands and I thought he may even cry once they were all gone- but he just wanted more bugs!  We now have ants coming to us in the mail from the same company.....

"Little" Man- Sneak Peek!

I had the pleasure of photographing this "little" man again!  The "V" family's first sneak peek is here. He is now 3 months older and SO much bigger!  Mom took advantage of my Mother's Day Special gift certificate and jumped in front of the camera for a few with her precious boy.  Such a sweet family!

"J" Family Sneak Peek

I had the pleasure of meeting the "J" family today; they are expecting their 2nd baby boy in TWO weeks!  The grandpa and grandmas joined in the fun too!  Such exciting changes they will all be going through very soon....  Enjoy your sneak peek and I can't wait to meet your newest addition when he arrives.

Bloom Where You Are Planted!

Ella just turned 8 months old, but I am posting pictures from her 7 month shoot!  I think I could stick this baby anywhere and she would just sit there happy as can be!  She has started clapping (and is so proud of herself when she does), has yet to sprout any teeth (though I swear she's been teething since 3 months old!) and is trying to crawl (she can only go backwards at this point).

Her big brother has been very busy lately!  He's in preschool, on a T-Ball team (hysterical!), does gymnastics, visits his friends in playgroup and plays on a soccer team! (Pictures coming soon!) Our big focus this last month has been potty training (oh such fun with little boys!)!

Here is my entry for this week's I Heart Faces contest.  The theme is "Celebrating Mom" and this is one of my favorite mother/child photographs that I have taken. Can't you just feel the love between them?

Photo Session Winner- Sneak Peek!

Tonight I had the chance to photograph the winner of my "Cutest Kid" contest!  Brother and Sister, "J" and "M", were terrific models- there is so much love between the two!  "M" lit up whenever big brother played with her- so sweet!  Enjoy your sneak peek and congrats again!

Little "L's" Sneak Peek

Look at this sweetheart!  Little "L's" Mom wanted to replicate a picture that she had of her older brother at this age that held special memories for her. We did a mini-session and this is one of my takes on her brother's picture!
